Allen Lewis: From Fire Fights to Fighting Fires
Thanks for joining us once again for another episode of The Iron Works Podcast as we continue the conversation of Physical and Mental Fitness! Today we are able to talk with Allen Lewis, a long time friend we had the honor of serving with as young Army Infantrymen. Allen has transitioned from his life as a member of the US Armed Forces to serving the community of Wilmington, NC as a fire fighter for the last five years. Hes found a way to connect to his community and help local charities through his passion of hockey. We discuss the importance of making connections with people with shared experiences that can act as a buffer to the stresses we experience in our jobs and everyday life. We hope you enjoy the episode and below are a list of some of the resources and people that have helped Allen in his journey.
